Mini DV SPCA1528 V2220 M is a small and portable digital video camera that can record high definition videos under low illumination. It also supports sound control video mode, which allows it to start recording automatically when the sound level exceeds 60 decibels. This camera can be used as a webcam, a spy camera, a car DVR, or a sports camera.
In this article, we will show you how to install and use this camera on your Windows computer.
Step 1: Install the Driver Software
Before you can use the camera as a webcam, you need to install the driver software that comes with the camera. The driver name is SPCA1528_V2220_M_Setup.exe, which is placed in the attached CD. If you don't have the CD, you can download the driver from here.[^1^]
When you install the driver, please double click this file and follow the instructions. After that, there will be an AMCAP icon on your desktop. This is the program that allows you to view the live capture from the camera.
Step 2: Connect the Camera to Your Computer
After installing the driver, you can connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable. Make sure the camera is fully charged before using it. You can charge it by plugging it into a power outlet or a computer USB port.
When you connect the camera to your computer, turn on the power and press the "M" button on the camera to enter webcam mode. The yellow indicator light will be on and the red indicator light will flash quickly. The "Installing Driver Software" window will appear on your computer screen. Wait until the installation is complete.
Step 3: Run the AMCAP Program
Once the driver installation is done, you can run the AMCAP program by double clicking the icon on your desktop. You will see a window showing the live capture from your camera. You can adjust the settings such as brightness, contrast, resolution, and frame rate by clicking the "Options" menu.
You can also take snapshots or record videos by clicking the "Capture" menu. The snapshots and videos will be saved in your computer's default folder.
Step 4: Switch to Other Modes

In video mode, you can record videos by pressing the "Record/Stop" button on the camera. The yellow indicator light will be on and the red indicator light will flash slowly. The resolution for video file is 720*480 and the frame rate is 29-30 fps. To stop recording, press the "Record/Stop" button again. The video will be saved automatically in your micro SD card.
