[S3E8] I Killed a Man Today
Monica is dealing with a lot of mixed feelings about the man who was killed. But she talked with Kayce about it, acknowledging that she understands why he did some of the things that he did too. It had to be done to make the world a better place, she told Kayce.
When we last left Arya Stark, she'd gotten fed up with the fire-worshipping Brotherhood Without Banners and their gold-hungry ways and run straight into the arms of Sandor "The Hound" Clegane, who killed her friend Mycah in a more innocent time.
Joff has been particularly odious today, so when drunk Tyrion, pushed to his limit, threatens his nephew and sucks the last pretense of merriment out of the wedding day, it's a thrilling little moment. And no matter how drunk Tyrion has gotten, he can't bring himself to go to bed with a trembling 14 year-old girl who's near tears at the prospect.
Stabler and Whelan speak to the manager of the club where Pearl collapsed. They threaten to subpoena everything and he caves, attempting to pull up security footage for them but when he logs in, the film's been entirely erased. Someone had to do it manually, he says. Plus a new bartender, Jace Porter, mysteriously didn't show up today. Detectives easily dig up Jace's past full of felonies. Elsewhere, as Teddy spirals with worry about Pearl, his Logan-Ray-lite father tells him to divest her holdings instead. Dad's only worried about the money.
All of the soldiers except for Coulthard and Harper were killed by the ravenous cave spiders. A chance for freedom presented itself thanks to a tunnel that could take them back to the surface, however, Coulthard becomes distracted by the whisperings of a giant being in a separate room.
Walt rushes into a hospital waiting room where Skyler, Marie, Gomez and ASAC Merkert are assembled. Merkert explains that all the DEA knows is that Hank was attacked by two cartel hitmen, and that he killed one of the assassins and critically wounded the other despite sustaining four shots. Marie denounces Gomez and Merkert for making Hank surrender his gun before the shooting. She further blames Walt, saying the entire situation wouldn't have started if he hadn't supposedly bought pot from Jesse. Skyler comes to Walt's defense, insisting it wasn't his fault.
